Men: Live Well, Work Well

Lou Booth founder of elementas coaching

I invite you into a grounded and supportive small-group space to pause, reflect and talk honestly about life, work and wellbeing. A confidential space to make real connections, share challenges and find your wisdom, whilst bouncing ideas, personal and business challenges. Confident you are not alone.

This forum is offered by invitation to men I have worked with to join me in a trusted space.

It is a complementary balance to my offering to women in compassionate leadership circles and experiences.

My vision is to create a trusted space for honest conversations. To share practical tools and genuine connection, away from the demands of everyday life and work. This can be especially valuable for men running their own business, leaders, managers and professionals. It is for Men who welcome confidential support alongside others who understand the pressures they carry.

I find there is also something that grows with time in a group of like-minded people. Returning each time to the same trusted space and the same familiar group of men builds a quiet accountability. Compassionate accountability and the kind of personal and focus that supports real change rather than just good intentions.

This Live Well Work Well forum launches during Men’s Health Week, 15–21 June 2026 – a moment set aside each year to encourage men to pay attention to their health and wellbeing. This week is a reminder that the all men in our lives matter. You matter. It feels like the right time to begin.

Using peer support, guided reflection and compassionate coaching tools, we explore the pressures men often carry, and how to respond with more clarity, calm and self-awareness. We will focus on and practice how to communicate and support others through compassionate listening, presence and awareness. Whatever is calling out to you at this time:

“The heart seems to rely on oxytocin as part of a normal process of protection and self-healing”

Carter and Porges, 2013, The biochemistry of love: an oxytocin hypothesis, EMBO Reports

Numerous studies tell us disconnection and isolation can have adverse impacts on our health . Oxytocin a bonding hormone can influence our physiological response to stress and injury; oxytocin receptors expressed in the heart and a possible role in protection, tissue repair and self-healing.

Connection is foundational as one of the three elements of self-leadership (also known as self-compassion, self-acceptance). This is core to wellness and health and my areas of expertise. Using mindfulness and compassionate approaches, in work settings; keeping it real and practical! For example zooming out to sense of difficulty. Or having time and space to reflect upon, zoom in on those tricky decisions and conversations we need to have. All means we can courageously face what we need to, in order to better thrive and flourish. In my research on coaching men in business, I explored work wellness and resilience. As a men’s health champion, I unearthed some shocking statistics. That’s why I am passionate about supporting men in business to keep well. It is a ripple effect…

One man in five dies before the age of65

More than 2 in 5 men die before the age of 75

2/3 of premature deaths from Cardiovascular Disease are amongst Men

Men have a 37% higher risk of dying from cancer and a 67% higher chance of dying from cancers that affect both men and women

Four in five suicides are by men – suicide is the biggest cause of death for men under 35 and there has been a sharp increase in the rate among men aged 35- 64  (Source MP’s UK Men’s Health Inquiry 2023)

Joining a small group gives men the chance to step out of the pressure of doing it all alone, and into a grounded, supportive space for health, confidence, connection and clearer choices in business and life.

  • A session Theme (to be agreed)
  • Guided reflection using mindful compassion techniques to soften anxiety and bring clarity
  • Honest, shared conversations in a peer setting, a confidential and non-judgemental space
  • Practical takeaways for everyday wellbeing, self-care and healthier responses to stress
  • A whole-person approach – mental, emotional and physical for calm, confidence and clarity
  • A sense of continuity and gentle accountability by returning monthly to a trusted group of men who notice, encourage and keep you honest with yourself.

One of the quiet gifts of this forum is continuity. Showing up each month – to the same men, the same space – builds something that a single session never can. You begin to notice patterns in yourself. Others begin to notice them too, and reflect them back with honesty and care. That’s the magic!

That gentle accountability – knowing the group is there, that your presence matters, that someone will ask how last month’s intention landed – is often what makes the difference between insight and actual change. This is not about pressure. It is about having somewhere to return to.

This is a coaching-based space using mindful compassion techniques, which can feel therapeutic. It offers shared connection and space to bring more calm and clarity. However, this is not therapy or crisis support. Where helpful, you will be encouraged to access appropriate health, wellbeing or professional support.

Your time is your first contribution, showing up for yourself matters. This forum is offered on a sliding scale of £35–£65 per session. The range exists because men arrive here at different points in life ; some thriving, some navigating difficulty. Choose the amount that honestly feels right for where you are right now. Whatever you choose, your place and your experience are equally valued. No explanation needed.

£35 – £65 per session · monthly. This space is offered in the spirit of giving back. The sliding scale contribution helps sustain what goes into making each session possible – Lou’s time, preparation and the care brought to every session. It is a fair and mutual exchange, offered in the same spirit as the forum itself – with trust, care and respect.
