Helping young adults move from uncertainty to opportunity with confidence, compassion and clarity.
Taking the first step towards coaching can feel like a big decision, both for young adults and for parents. My aim is to provide a calm, welcoming and supportive coaching experience where young people feel heard, understood and encouraged to discover their own strengths, confidence and direction. Every coaching programme is tailored to the individual, but here’s what you can expect.
Our journey begins with a free, no-obligation discovery call. This can be with:
The purpose is simply to explore what support is being sought, answer any questions and decide whether coaching feels like the right fit. If we decide to work together, we’ll arrange the first coaching session.
90 minutes
The first coaching session allows time to get to know one another and build trust.
Together we will explore:
Using coaching tools such as the Wheel of Life, strengths profiling, values exploration and goal setting, we’ll begin to develop a personalised coaching plan. This session provides the foundation for the coaching journey.
60 minutes
Most young adults begin with a programme of 4–5 coaching sessions. These sessions are tailored to individual needs and may focus on:
(Additional sessions can be arranged if further support would be beneficial.
Young Adult Coaching combines practical career and life coaching with mindfulness and compassionate self-leadership. Rather than telling young people what they should do, coaching helps them:
The aim is not simply to find a job. It is to develop lifelong skills that support work, relationships and wellbeing.
Parents play an important role in supporting young adults through periods of change. Parents are welcome to join the discovery conversation if everyone feels this would be helpful. Once coaching begins, the coaching relationship is primarily between the young adult and the coach. This creates a safe and confidential space where young people can speak openly and develop greater independence. Where a parent is funding the coaching, a separate Sponsor Agreement explains the practical arrangements and responsibilities.
Creating a safe, respectful and trusting environment is fundamental to coaching. The coaching relationship exists between the Coach and the Young Adult (Client). Detailed coaching conversations remain confidential unless:
Where appropriate, general updates regarding attendance and overall progress may be shared with the young person’s agreement.
Coaching is a forward-looking, strengths-based process. It focuses on helping young adults build confidence, resilience, self-awareness and practical strategies for moving forward. Coaching is not counselling, psychotherapy or mental health treatment. If, at any stage, I believe another form of support would be more appropriate, I will discuss this openly and help signpost suitable professional services where appropriate.
Coaching is available:
Hybrid coaching offers flexibility and allows sessions to fit around study, work and family commitments. Please note that travel expenses may apply for face-to-face coaching outside my local area.

Designed to build confidence, develop practical life skills and support progress towards meaningful goals. Most young adults begin with a programme of 4–5 sessions, with additional coaching available if required.
Young Adult Coaching is suitable for 18 to 25-year-olds who are ready to explore, reflect and take positive steps towards the future. You don’t need to have all the answers. You simply need to be willing to begin.
If you’d like to find out more, I’d be delighted to arrange an informal conversation with you.
