This circle is for open-minded mid-life professional women in their thirties to late fifties. They are ready to grow in themselves, explore their leadership, and deepen self-awareness. This is achieved through a nurturing, connected coaching circle. It also involves a supportive network of women and professional, grounded one to one coaching.

For some women, this season of life brings several transitions at once. You are navigating family responsibilities or menopause. You may facing change the ending of a relationship, health challenges, burnout, or a shift in your working life. At the same time, you sense a desire to grow, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.

This circle offers a grounded and compassionate space. It helps you meet those changes with honesty, courage, and support. This space to bring the whole of you to strengthen the way you lead yourself at work and in life.

A Warm, Grounded Space for Women

Together we will take a personalised journey into compassionate leadership. Exploring self-leadership and mindful compassion in a business setting.

Meeting online every two weeks in a small group, you will learn the foundations of compassion for self and others. Practical tools and exercises are included. Tailored mindful practices are provided. There are also personal and group discussions and reflections. All of these are designed to support your personal learning and development needs.

Lead with Ease and Integrity

When we lead with compassion, for ourselves and others we build authenticity and sustainable influence. What people call the impostor syndrome (the inner critical voice) can loosens its sticky grip and power! This can feel especially important in midlife, when personal and professional challenges can start to meet in deeper ways.

If you are experiencing confusion, stress, menopause, or heartbreak, self-leadership can help you. It provides stability when you feel changing confidence or uncertainty in your career. It helps you respond with greater clarity, self-trust, and compassion. This approach is more beneficial than pushing through alone.

When like-minded women gather together in a circle, something powerful and beautiful happens, more than just learning or coaching. Together, we light up our own path. We create a safe space that illuminates the way for each other to grow and flourish.

Foundations of Self-Leadership

We will start with the foundations of Self-leadership. This is also known as Self-Compassion and Self-Acceptance. Then, we will weave in the key elements of compassion. You will be invited to test how kind you are or critical you are towards yourself. How connected or isolated you feel, especially when life is tough. How much you over-relate with situations. Be aware and aware of where you are now. At the end of the journey, you will see for yourself the shift!.

Yin & Yang Self-Leadership

We will explore the complementary Yin and Yang expressions of self-compassion, which are Tender and Fierce. We will relate these expressions to supporting authentic, grounded leadership in your everyday work and life. This involves the soft, inner care and the courageous outer action that help us live with intention.

Tender compassion supports and connects your inner world. It nurtures your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and the parts of you that long to be met with gentleness.

Fierce compassion supports your outer world. It is motivated by your inner care and passion. This is the part of you that protects your boundaries. It speaks your truth. It takes courageous actions that align with your value system. Both are essential. Both are welcome. And together, they create self-leadership that feels grounded, steady, and deeply authentic. Women experiencing menopause, illness, or separation find support in balancing tender and fierce compassion. It also aids those facing work-related strain or empathy fatigue . It helps you come in to care for your own needs. It lets you honour your energy. It also lets you to confidently make clear, values-led choices about how you live and work. The group will offer support and lightheartedness. A group member used a metaphor to capture emotions. It describes life’s ups and downs by asking whose turn it is to “feel like a wrung out dishcloth!”

Finding a balanced way of leading and resourcing yourself and others. Just as the seasons shift between softness and strength, we, too, move between different expressions of compassion. We experience staying connected in times of difficulty. We understand stress and overwhelm. We will explore ways to fuel our inner fire, self-care, and appreciation.

Powerful Reflective Learning

You will learn three core tools to help you bring your learning confidently into your work and personal life. You will experience calming practical mindfulness techniques. Compassionate exercises will help you experience somatic awareness in your body. These exercises aid you in feeling and remembering the three elements of compassion.

You will be invited to keep a reflective journal throughout the journey. Your one-to-one coaching sessions will offer space to explore more deeply the areas that matter most to you.

As you come to recognise and understand your values deeply you will start to trust your inner guidance. Keeping grounded and motivated when life feels tricky or turbulent.

For some, this is a time of rebuilding after loss, illness, or emotional exhaustion. For others, it is a threshold into a new chapter. It is a time of becoming more visible, more discerning, and more intentional about the work you do. It involves the boundaries you hold and the life you want to create.

As you find your personal agency, you will start to express your voice with greater clarity and confidence.

The core tools and techniques are designed for you to use in your life and work. They help you lead yourself and others with confidence.

Compassionate Companions, each session we will hear the voices of women from politics, culture, and science. They will come from environmentalism and range from history to the current day. All these voices offer us guidance, wisdom, and inspiration. In this small, nurturing circle, your experience matters and your wisdom is valued. Eventually your voice will join these women. Together we create a compassionate, courageous space where insight deepens, confidence grows, and something close to magic can happen.

Sessions – What we will explore

This is a small, supportive online circle where learning unfolds gently over time. Each two hour session provides an opportunity to connect and share. Participants build meaningful relationships with other women. They also explore the foundations of compassionate leadership.

Session 1Connections and Compassionate Leadership Foundations
We begin by creating a warm and supportive space. Then, we introduce the core themes of compassionate self leadership.

Session 2Expressions of Personal Self Leadership, Yin and Yang
An exploration of softness and strength in self leadership. These qualities can support the way you lead yourself. They also affect how you relate to others.

Session 3Resourcing Self with Values, Motivation and Healthy Boundaries
A gentle look at values. We will also explore motivation and boundaries. There will be space to reflect on what supports clear and grounded self leadership.

Session 4Staying Connected in Discomfort
We explore ways of meeting challenge, discomfort and stress and high cortisol emotions like frustration, anger and anxiety. Focusing on greater steadiness with tools to help you regain inspiration, peace, joy and calm. Experiencing clarity and grounded wisdom.

Session 5Gratitude, Appreciation, Taking in the Good
This session closes the journey. We take time to deeply recognise, own, savour and celebrate your gifts. It invites reflection, learning on the journey, honouring what has emerged and ways to hardwire and carry new this forward onward.

Alongside the circle, your one to one coaching sessions offer grounded, professional support tailored to your own development. These sessions create space to explore your experiences, leadership, and next steps in a deeper and more personal way.

Dates:

Bloom From Within Spring/Summer 2026 starts May. It is one of three seasonal compassionate leadership journeys. These include Bloom, Gather and Tend, each offered at different times of the year.

Dates: The course and our connections are on Wednesday evenings for 2 hours, live on Zoom. Meeting time is 6.30–8.30 pm on 13 (tbc) and 27 May, 10 and 24 June, 8 July 2026. Coaching can be face to face depending on your location.

Choose from Amber, Garnet, or Quartz for a 10 week journey, or Quartz for a more spacious 6 month experience. Each programme includes coaching to support you deeply as you reflect, grow, and integrate your learning.

You will get a certificate of attendance for your professional development records. The certificate will include 13 or 18 hours of CPD, depending on your chosen programme.

I’m Lou Booth. I am the founder of elementas. It is a coaching and consultancy practice. Here, human connections and mindful compassion gently weave into leadership and well-being. Clarity and purpose are integral aspects.

My work is rooted in mindful self leadership, self compassion, and emotional regulation. It supports women to lead with quiet confidence. They lead with authenticity and ease. I blend executive coaching with mindfulness and HeartMath. I also incorporate nervous system awareness. These elements offer a calm, reflective, and deeply supportive space for growth.

I have over 30 years of experience across public, private, and well-being sectors. I am an Institute of Leadership and Coaching Level 7 Executive Coach. I am also an MSc graduate in Mindfulness Studies. I bring both depth and warmth to this work. Since founding elementas in 2011, I have supported professionals and leaders. They have cultivated resilience, compassion, and a more grounded way of leading. I believe that when women reconnect with their inner wisdom, tenderness, and strength, they flourish. This flourishing feels both powerful and true.

Step 2: Once registered, you’ll be invited to fill out a short Confidential, Reflective Journal to start your journey. It will help you think about your motivations and needs. You will consider how to kindly support and resource yourself. You will reflect on your role in creating a safe space. You will think about how to support everyone in this transformational journey and circle.

A certificate of attendance for Continuous Professional Development will be awarded for 13 hours. Alternatively, it will be awarded for 18 hours depending on the programme you take.
