Lou Booth elementas

Welcome to elementas coaching and mentoring. I am Lou the owner, founder and inspiration behind elementas. My passion is wellness and helping individuals and organisation achieve their aims and ambitions while keeping well. I do this by guiding professionals, executives, business owners managers and their staff with wellness coaching and business mentoring

A qualified and experienced coach of 15 years, I am guided by the professional standards and ethics, outlined by the Institute of Leadership and Management, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and the Mindfulness Association (MA).

I hold a postgraduate certificate in Coaching Executive Coaching and Mentoring Certificate from the Faculty of Health, University of Cumbria, where I also studied my ILM Coaching and Mentoring to Level 7 to Coach and Mentor Executives . You can trust I abide by the guidance of the EMCC Code of Ethics and the Mindfulness Association. As part of my professional practise I have regular coaching supervision. I also take part in continuous professional development to retain professional status.

Alongside running elementas I am in my second year of a part-time MSc Studies Mindfulness Aberdeen University, specialising in mindfulness and coaching.

I have also recently certified as a Hearthmath Coach to support individuals to transform and flourish in today’s uncertain world. To improve their relationships at home and at work.

Today more than ever the benefits mindfulness and heart-centred intelligence can bring to our daily lives are documented by scientific research. Be that in business and sports performance, pain management to coping with stress, changing unhelpful behaviour, unlocking our emotional intelligence, the regulation our emotions and building resilience. I integrate mindfulness into my traditional coaching and business mentoring, alongside kindness and compassion techniques to help clients work and live well.

With experience and specialisms in marketing, communications and product developments I help organisations move through change one person at a time. Supporting individuals and organisations to achieve their potential.

With a sound background of over 30 years in private and public organisations, I am a confident communicator. My experience spans many different sectors from finance, engineering, manufacturing, creative and digital, tourism and leisure, arts, voluntary sectors, heritage and culture, health and wellbeing. I am flexible and work well with a broad cross-section of individuals from volunteers, interns, students, technical and business managers, to senior leaders and executives.

Happy in relationships 1:1 or with small and medium businesses as well as large organisations with multi-partners delivery agents. I love to communicate and connect and enjoy the diversity of people and organisations.

I offer wellbeing approaches to reduce work-related stress, to improve individual and team creativity and performance. My practice includes personal coaching supervision. I believe in continuous professional development.

I sincerely believe that real value in organisations is created through people. And that positive, trusting and open relationships equal outstanding performance and results. I will hold your hand on your journey of change, especially when it gets tricky.

My own life choices have allowed to live to and integrate my values and passions for design, travel, culture, people and the great outdoors. I’ve volunteered in holiday times in places like USA, Mongolia, and in 2018 reached the top of the world to the mysterious Tibet and Everest Base Camp.

Last year I returned to Bolivia to volunteer with underprivileged children in cancer care. Together with friends and clients we raised over £1500 to make a difference in materials for the hospital and educational outreach projects.

I have a little Westie called Ellie who brings me so much joy and sometimes joins me at work to bring a smile to the volunteers I work with both young and old at a fabulous Lancashire heritage railway, museum and freight business.

I am nourished by finding new ways to help people young and old, live the life they love.

I am committed to giving you the support you deserve, and walk my talk with continuous personal development to show my commitment.
